THE CHEERLEADER
by
Andrew Vasey
I'm in love with a cheerleader,
A girl with a permanent smile,
Legs quite as long as her skirt is short,
And brimful of vigour and style.
I love it when she crouches low,
Then jumps up with a shout,
But most of all I love it
When she gets her pom-poms out.
I'm marrying my cheerleader,
The girl with the permanent smile,
And pretty soon, with me in tow,
She'll high-kick down the aisle.
We'll honeymoon together,
And there isn't any doubt
That best of all I'll love it
When she gets her pom-poms out.
