SEVENTY SAG
by
Paul J. Hill

One day in a certain light
I spied some skin that once was tight.
Not a thing to cause alarm
this stretch along the inner arm,
but ever since I spied it there
I seem to have the need to stare
at other places where the skin
may indicate the shape I'm in.

Though somewhat used to body change
there seems to be a wider range
of defects showing high and low
and if they're there, I want to know.
Of course this could become a bore,
this always looking out for more.
I may decide to risk my life
and switch attention to my wife.
