THE AUCTIONEER

div

An auctioner's a busy man - it's auction here and there
You should hear the row and clamour
Till I drop my mighty hammer
Some attend the sale for fun - get up to lots of tricks
I put a row of houses up, then they bid two and six .
(ThenI throw the hammer at them)

Chorus: So if you want any curios
Or mummies from ancient tombs
Just bring your money at twelve o' clock
To Diddlem's Auction Rooms.

On Monday it's a jewellery sale - or Tuesday may be fish
Pictures, snadwiches - or top-knots
China, crockery-ware or what-nots
To fight over a five bob lot my clients never fail
Sometimes they kill the auctioneer - that finishes the sale.

Chorus: So if you want any curios
Or mummies from ancient tombs
Just bring your money at twelve o' clock
To Diddlem's Auction Rooms.
