HULLO, I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU

Young Josser was mashing a bar-maid,
One day in a luncheon bar
And telling her stories about all the glories
Of yachting, 'Bai jove! Ha Ha
When, all of a sudden his wife popped in
And filled his young heart with fear
She'd six olive branches along with her
And said, as she grasped his ear,

Chorus: 'Hullo, I've been looking for You
For you, for you, for you-oo-oo
Looking all over the place, I have
For your beautiful face, I have
Never mind winking at her
Look at your children do
I'll give you beans, when I get you home
What ho! I've been looking for you.'

Our Emma's a beautiful creature
So lovely and plump, you know
Such splendid proportions -
Her limbs they are cautions
Although they are not for show
One day, she was crossing the slipp'ry road
She fell, in the road-way wide
A theatrical manager chanced to pass
When he saw her fall, he cried,

Chorus: 'Hullo, I've been looking for You
For you, for you, for you-oo-oo
Looking all over the place, I have
For your beautiful face, I have
Oh, what a figure! I say!
Come in my panto - do
You'll make a fortune, with legs like those
What ho! I've been looking for you.'

My Auntie's a giddy old kipper
An old maid, but, take my word
My dear Aunt Carrie would willingly marry
If ever the chance occurred
One night, a strange noise in her room she heard
A burglar, beneath her bed
Then she simply got her revolver out
Put it under his nose, and said,

Chorus: 'Hullo, I've been looking for You
For you, for you, for you-oo-oo
Looking all over the place, I have
For your beautiful face, I have
I've been expecting you in
For the last month or two
Now that I've got you, I'll keep you dear!
What ho! I've been looking for you.'

Young spooner, one morning, was riding
Inside of a Brixton bus
When in came a lady, a girl with a baby
Who very soon made a fuss
The baby it started to clap it's hands
To Spooner it said, 'Dad-da'
And just as he tried to expostulate
The young lady said, 'Ah!

Chorus: Hullo, I've been looking for You
For you, for you, for you-oo-oo
Looking all over the place, I have
For your beautiful face, I have
Baby kiss your Daddy dear!
What do you say? 'Tain't true?
A case of mistaken identity?-
No fear! I've been looking for you.
