I LOST GEORGIE IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE

div

Early one morning Georgie came around to see me
Kissed me once or twice then took me to the church across the way
There we were married, then we went a-honeymooning
But there won't be any honeymooning, there's been an accident today.

Chorus: I lost Georgie in Trafalgar square
Going on our honeymoon but I don't care
I lost him in the mob, but I'll bet anybody a bob
He won't have much of a honeymoon if I'm not there.

I made a parcel, packed my bits of things inside it
A hat that cost me three three farthings, fit for any rich man's bride
George took my parcel, carried it upon his shoulder
Now he's been and lost my parcel with all my twiddley bits inside.

Chorus:

We bought a nice home, half a dozen chairs and table
Featherbed and nice spring mattress and a picture of the Isle of Wight
I've lost my latch-key, George has got it in my parcel
Mother's been and let my bedroom, so I've got to walk about all night.

Chorus:
