LET THE REST OF THE WORLD GO BY
(Parody)

One night last July
It happened that I
Went down to Southend Beach
In a Carnival booth
'Twas there I met Ruth
What a girl, what a pal, what a peach.

A tattooed lady was she
In a circus marquee
It was truly love at first sight
She was tattooed I know
From her head to her toe
Cos she showed me her tattoos one night.

Chorus: On her back there was France
And when I took a careful glance
I noticed she had
London town just further down.

Her hips were bare
But on her you know where
The Fiji Islands nestled there
Across her shoulders you could see
A map of Italy
She also had Spain upon her thigh
Now we were nearly in Berlin
When her old man came rushing in
So I let the rest of the World go by.
