MARY TOOK HER CALVES TO THE DAIRY SHOW

div

Old Farmer Giles had a big black cow
That had two little calves one day
When the time came round for the Dairy Show
Giles was busy and he could not go
So he sent his daughter Mary
With the calves to win a prize
And she shyly led them through the little village
To the yokels great surprise

Chorus: And Mary took her calves to the Dairy Show
The Dairy Show, the Dairy Show
And Farmer Green said he'd never, never seen
Such beautiful calves as Mary's

She reached the Show in an hour or so
And the two calves were placed on view
And the judge there said they were simply divine
He'd seen nowt like them for a long long time
Then the Squire came up and saw them
And he handed her first prize
When he said her calves were a credit to the village
Mary blushed and rubbed her eyes
