SING ME TO SLEEP

'Sing me to sleep' I heard a man cry
At a suburban music hall
He was a tenor, so brave and so bold
He had a voice like a crow with a cold.

'Sing me to sleep' I heard a man cry
'Sing me to sleep' with a tear in his eye
Then came a half-brick, slung by a sweep
Fell on his napper and put him to sleep.
