WHICH OF THE THREE?

All through Mr Cupid I am in a quandary
The reason is that I've got a trio after me
There's three men fell in love with me
They've had an awful fall
Just like Humpty Dumpty when he sat upon the wall
There's three of them and only one of me
But I can't marry three of them, you see.

Refrain: I don't know whether to wed the dark one or the fair
Or the one with a little moustache and ginger hair
The dark one is tall, the other four foot eight
The ginger one is bandy so he can't be very straight
Who is it to be? Which one of the three?
It's keeping me awake at night
'Cos yer can't take 'em back and change them
If they don't turn out all right.

I shuffled up their photos and I picked one from the pack
The first one out was ginger so I quickly put it back
So I showed them to a policeman. He looked at them very hard
And said, 'We've got some better looking ones at Scotland Yard.'
I said to him, 'I know that may be true
But this is all I'm going to ask of you.'

Refrain 1: 'I don't know whether to wed the dark one or the fair
Or the one with a little moustache and ginger hair
The dark one is tall, the other four foot eight
The ginger one is bandy so he can't be very straight
Who is it to be? Which one of the three?
And the soldier one, he looks quite bright
And he used to be a Sergeant Major
So he might turn out all right.'

Refrain 2: I don't know whether to wed the dark one or the fair
Or the one with a little moustache and ginger hair
The dark one is tall, the other four foot eight
The ginger one is bandy so he can't be very straight
Who is it to be? Which one of the three?
It's keeping me awake at night
So I'm keeping friendly with a policeman
In case they don't turn out all right.
