THE YACHT I'VE NOT GOT

Since I came down to Southend for the season
I've made quite a stir there's no doubt
And there's no need to ask me the reason
When you see my yachting rig-out
When first I went down it created a riot
It took four policemen to keep the girls quiet, and

Chorus: When I stroll down the Pier all the girls say what
He's just come from his yacht
He must be some wealthy big pot
And when they gather around me and ask to share my lot
Then I promise to take the young darlings a sail
On the beautiful yacht I've not got, what, what!

And the match-making mothers flock round me
And to me a awfully kind
I told them some deuced fine stories
Of yachting I've planned in me mind
And when I told one that I'd marry her daughter
She had a bad fit and then fell in the water.

Chorus: When I stroll down the Pier all the girls say what
He's just come from his yacht
He must be some wealthy big pot
And when they gather around me and ask to share my lot
Then I promise to take the young darlings a sail
On the beautiful yacht I've not got, what, what!

When I stroll down the Pier all the girls say what
He's just come from his yacht
He must be some wealthy big pot
And when they gather around me and ask to share my lot
Then I promise to take the young darlings a sail
On the beautiful yacht I've not got, what, what!
